When can I return to normal activities after surgery?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a day or two after surgery, you will be able to get out of bed, shower almost immediately, and any discomfort can be controlled with prescription pain medication. You will need to return to the doctor's office in a week to follow up and to remove the stitch (unless a dissolvable suture was used). You can resume sexual intercourse almost immediately, although the breasts must be treated with care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patients usually return to work within a week<\/strong>. Most patients wait about a month before fully returning to their vigorous fitness training programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
