To be more exact, that of the latter does not grow, but takes the muscular shape of the pectoral. However, there are cases in which men&#039;s breast tissue does develop, and this is what is known as&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mammasurgery.com\/en\/otros-tratamientos-de-pecho\/ginecomastia\/\">gynecomastia<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This condition is caused by a&nbsp;<strong>imbalance of two hormones<\/strong>: estrogen and testosterone. The former predominates more in women; while, the second, in men. When a man produces a&nbsp;<strong>too low amount of testosterone<\/strong>&nbsp;Compared to estrogen, it can lead to gynecomastia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in women, the growth of breast tissue in men occurs during the stage of the&nbsp;<strong>puberty<\/strong>, a very hard age and that can lead to bullying. That is why it is necessary to learn about gynecomastia, its symptoms, causes and treatment. However, there are cases in which gynecomastia appears due to aging, drug and alcohol use, or obesity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does the surgery consist of?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before performing the surgery, the patient should have a few&nbsp;<strong>prior consultations&nbsp;<\/strong>with the surgeon, who will do a physical examination. It is important that the patient ask all his doubts to the doctor before the operation to stay more calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refering to&nbsp;<strong>intervention&nbsp;<\/strong>in itself, it is a simple process. The surgeon will perform a&nbsp;<strong>incision&nbsp;<\/strong>in the least visible area possible, usually around the areola, and will remove the&nbsp;<strong>excess breast tissue<\/strong>.
