What is gynecomastia?

Gynecomastia refers to the similarity of a man's breasts to a woman's. It is quite common in many men, exceeding 50% of cases. As such there is no known cause but it is a fact that is quite complex for men who decide to remove fat and glandular tissue from their breasts or remove excess skin from them.

The gynecomastia intervention lasts about an hour and a half but it should be noted that the patient must spend the night before hospitalized. Depending on the type of technique used, the intervention will be different, but both will use local anesthesia by sedation or general anesthesia.

Types of techniques

Gynecomastia can be done in two ways:

Through liposuction or liposculpture by means of which the fat tissue that exists of more is extracted. It is possible that by removing large amounts of fat the skin will not be completely well in the new body environment, but in these cases the excess can be removed and the skin fits perfectly.

Through a surgical removal of the breast which develops when gynecomastia has a larger component. It is a process in which the patient will feel a much milder pain than in the aforementioned.

Postoperative
